Kaylyn had been on the phone with her family and hearing the voice of her mother and the ramblings of her little brother just made her homesick to an unbearable degree. She was well aware of her triggers and the last thing she wanted was a repeat of the other day so she grabbed her sketchbook and colored pencils and ran for the nearest exit. She found her favorite spot in the garden, spread her things out, got comfortable and began drawing the closest flower to her. Completely forgetting where she was and lost in her own thoughts she didn’t hear anything more than the wind in the grasses and trees around her. She may have even begun humming, but whether she was or not didn’t matter so she paid it no attention.

It had been a bad day for Gemma, a really bad one, and she was in the mood of either arguing with someone, or being intimate, or maybe both at the same time. If only she had found Rory, the woman was perfect for that, but she seemed to have dissapeared that day, of course, to make Gemma's day worse. So she took her cigarette package and lighter and went outside.

At least the weather was good enough to be there, sunny and slightly chilly, but nice enough to be outside. As she stepped outside she lightened a cigarette and sipped slowly from it, swallowing the smoke and feeling how relaxing it was. After those few seconds she started walking aroud the gardens and saw someone sitting down. Approaching the other woman she greeted her softly. "Hey" she forced out hoping it didn't sound too harsh, mabe that woman was good for fighting, or for intimacy, either way was ok, if she was caught in either of those situations she'd be sent to the isolation cells.

Kaylyn smelled cigarette smoke before she heard a voice greet her. She’d been startled but refused to allow herself to show it. She turned and found the source of both the smoke and the voice. “Hello,” she greeted, “What brings you out here this evening?” She closed her sketch book and set it and her pencil down. She began silently studying the woman before her; from her black hair and her green eyes to her shapely hips and calves. She couldn’t complain about what she saw, but as always she was cautious about saying anything. “Feel free to take a seat,” she hated talking up to people but she didn’t feel like standing up either so she offered a seat hoping it’d be taken.

Well apparently the woman was nice enough, and attractive, hell yes. But something was telling Gemma that she wasn't in the very best mood either. "Just my bad mood" she replied before taking a seat next to her. "What about you?" she added looking at the woman curiously as she kept smoking.

"Oh excuse my bad manners" she added once she realized she hadn't introduced herself. "Gemma Hart" she added holding her hand out at her companion, with a smile that sadly didn't reach her eyes.

Kaylyn nodded at her companion’s response, she allowed her to settle into her seat before answering the question she’d been asked. “More or less the same here, bad day,” she explained, once again having to calm herself. “It’s not a problem,” Kaylyn smiled and took Gemma’s hand, “Kaylyn Sorenson.” She noticed that Gemma’s smile didn’t reach her eyes but attributed it to the bad mood she’d said she had. As she was studying Gemma’s eyes she thought Jade, they were gems that needed to shine. “Care to talk about it?” she asked, “the bad mood not our names.” She didn’t mean to pry, but she intended to make the gems of her companions eyes sparkle the way they were meant to.
