PostSubject: A Playful Swim (M?)   A Playful Swim (M?) EmptyTue Aug 21, 2012 10:44 pm

Kaylyn had had a pretty average day and after finishing all of her activities, decided it would be nice to unwind it the pool before it got too late. She got on her swim suit threw her hair up in a pony tail and headed out. There were towels down there so the only other thing she needed was her flip flops, which she had forgotten in her room. When she went back to grab them she peered out the window and saw someone heading in the direction of the pool, she didn’t think anything of it and started heading that way herself.

When she got down there she put her flip flops in a locker and took her required pre-pool shower. Once she was rinsed and headed towards the pool itself she noticed the man that she had seen from her window was already in the water. She sent a sly flirty grin his way uncaring as to whether or not he had seen it and she herself got into the water. After half a lap she pushed off a side wall and floated towards the center of the pool on her back.

No matter what he did, Alex couldn't seem to get used to the place he had been put into. A fucking mental hospital? There was absolutely nothing wrong with him. So he'd murdered a couple of people, they'd deserved it. Alright, Sophia hadn't, but that bastard of a boyfriend of hers had. Completely, he'd only been trying to protect Sophia from the sure harm that would have been brought upon her. Rolling his eyes, he tried to ignore what felt like a hole in his chest whenever he thought about the older woman whose life he'd also ripped away. Licking his lips he shook his head, slamming the door from his room open. The nurse that seemed intent on pestering the shit out of him was probably going to be back anytime now, and he wasn't interested in being there. All of the probing questions, the unnecessary amounts of medications he'd never take. It was ridiculous.

His wandering didn't last for long, for he quickly found what seemed to be the therapy pool. He wasn't sure what the rules for it were, but suddenly he didn't care. Actually, he'd never cared, nor would he ever when it came to the damned hospital and it's staff who thought they could control him. It wasn't hard to see that there wasn't anyone else around, and while that just basically told him how boring of a time he'd have, he figured it was better than being around for that stupid nurse. Shedding his clothing and leaving himself in just his swim shorts, he doused himself underneath the shower-head to rinse off his body. His muscles rippled beneath his skin at the unexpected coolness of the water rolling against his skin.

Shaking the wet hair from his eyes he walked back over to the edge of the water. He didn't hesitate before smoothly diving in, making a minimal splash as he glided beneath the surface. It had been such a long time since the last time he'd swam, and it admittedly felt rather nice. When he popped back up he inhaled deeply, treading water with his legs and one of his arms while wiping the excess water away from his eyes and smoothing his hair back. That was when he noticed that he was no longer alone. Unabashedly his eyes took in the woman before him, admiring her feminine frame. He was a guy, and naturally he was going to check her out. What did a place like this expect when cooping them up, that they'd keep their thoughts (and hands) to themselves? That was almost laughable. She seemed to realize that she was being watched, because a moment later a flirty grin was directed his way. He only gave her one of his half-smirks as he looked away from her again, beginning to swim toward the deeper end.

He went along doing his own thing as did she, but eventually she started floating in his direction and he figured his silence had been long enough. "And how are you today, bonita?" His voice was deep and rich, mixed with his Spanish accent. He kept his distance though, eyes lazily watching her, sizing her up, deciding his course of action for the time being.

*Bonita translates into beautiful.

Kaylyn had her eyes closed as she floated around the pool, she didn’t really feel any waves so she assumed the man had left. Because of her assumption she was surprised when she heard his voice. She hadn’t understood all that he had said because of the water surrounding her ears, but she’d heard ‘how are’ and assumed that he’d asked how she was. She stood so she could hold a conversation. “I’m well, considering where we are.” She didn’t much care for being at Shilling but she was stuck here all the same. “And how are you?” She didn’t ask only out of politeness but actual interest in the stranger in front of her. She didn’t think anything of it as she blatantly stared at him, studying his chiseled body and softly angular face. Kaylyn’s ponytail was drooping so she took it out and instead of fixing it she made a point to dip back and wet her hair so it would fall silkily down her back.

Alex's eyes drank her in as she stood, though his actions were discreet. He was a master at this game, and he didn't intend on slipping up anytime soon just because he'd been placed in this damned hospital. No, it wouldn't change who he was. They'd never change him. He chuckled almost humorlessly when she commented on being well, despite the place they were both forced to live in. "Optimistic one, are you?" He commented wryly, licking his lips and tasting the chlorine on them. He continued to tread the water for a couple of moments longer, allowing his body to drift closer to her own.

"I'm alright, though I can't say I'm particularly fond of this place." He stated with a shrug. It was the truth. Who would be? It was terrible, constricting, invasive, and just all-round unbearable. And he would be expected to live here, probably forever. Or until he got himself kicked out. He smirked to himself at the thought, but re-focused on his pretty company. At least if there continued to be faces like hers around here, he could at least attempt to get used to the place he now called home.

He felt her studying him, but of course he didn't mind. He was well aware of how good-looking he was, both facial-wise and body-wise, and he wasn't shy about showing it. Why hide what he had? He watched with a careful gaze as she removed her long hair from her pony-tail, dipping beneath the surface before popping back up. He didn't say anything for a couple of moments, his eyes lingering on the way her hair stuck to her back, before he spoke up again. "And what's you're name, señora?"

Kaylyn laughed when he called her optimistic, “Optimistic, not so much, but I’ve been here for nearly three years, call me a realist.” She was well aware of his eyes on her and she tried very hard not to show her nervousness at it. It wasn’t that she was particularly shy about her body, she just wasn’t used to people watching her so intently. She nodded in agreement as he expressed his feelings about Shilling. “You’d be hard pressed to find someone who does like it.” Her tone may have been teasing but she was serious, in all of her encounters she hadn’t found a single person who actually wanted to be here, except maybe the doctors, but they thought they were helping the poor ‘crazy’ people.

Kaylyn smiled as he watched her fix her hair, that was half the plan anyway, but she hadn’t expected that it would render him speechless. “I’m Kaylyn,” she said holding out her hand, not only was it a proper greeting it was an excuse to touch him which she was all too willing to do. “And you are?”... Drop dead gorgeous she thought to herself as she made eye contact.

PostSubject: Re: A Playful Swim (M?)   A Playful Swim (M?) EmptyFri Aug 24, 2012 2:22 pm

Alex found a slow smirk developing on his lips when he heard her laugh. A musical sort of tinkering in the quiet atmosphere that surrounded them. He was still trying to get a feel for exactly who he was dealing with, so that way he'd know how to better approach the situation. Some woman were very forward, confident, and didn't do themselves any justice in the self-control department. Those were the easiest to deal with. Then others were more modest, quiet, nervous, and those were the ones he had to work for. He'd met a couple in the middle before as well, but he still hadn't decided which this particular woman fell under. She clearly wasn't shy; but he had a feeling he was making her at least somewhat nervous with his gaze.

"Three years, huh?" He mused, kicking himself further toward her so that he was able to stand without treading water anymore. "What're you in here for?" He wasn't exactly the type who cared about his own boundaries and what he should and shouldn't ask. He was blunt, and when he wanted to know something, he asked it without thinking otherwise. He shrugged once when she commented about finding someone who was in fact fond of the place.

Now that he could easily stand, his eyes drifted down toward her extended hand. His smirk only grew as he learned her name. Time for the charm. "The beautiful Kaylyn, huh? What a pleasure." Taking her smaller hand lightly in his he brought it up to his lips, where he placed a gentle kiss on it, his eyes never leaving her own. "Alejandro Cruz." He replied as he let her have her hand back. "Call me Alex if you'd like."

A Playful Swim (M?) Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Playful Swim (M?)   A Playful Swim (M?) EmptyFri Aug 24, 2012 3:15 pm

Kaylyn was a little take aback when she was asked why she was here, it wasn’t the first time she’d been asked this question, but he had asked so casually she wasn’t sure if he was serious. “My…” she started, she had yet to explain her disease so she first had to do that. “I have dissociative identity disorder, and when I was 18 one of my alts attempted to murder my father, so he’s in a coma and I’m stuck here,” she explained, realizing that she sounded indifferent to her father’s comatose state but didn’t see a reason to care. “What about you?” He had asked first so she was simply returning the favor.

As he stood in front of her after her introduction, he called her beautiful and she couldn’t stop herself from blushing. As he took her hand she expected that he’d simply shake it and introduce himself, but when he kissed it she heard herself quietly gasp and she brought her other hand to her mouth. It wasn’t that he had at all scared her but she hadn’t expected it, not many men are so chivalrous anymore, and the fact that he had done while staring into her eyes had startled her a little. When he gave her a possible nickname she asked, “Which do you prefer?” She thought Alejandro fit better with his looks, but if he preferred Alex she would gladly call him that.

PostSubject: Re: A Playful Swim (M?)   A Playful Swim (M?) EmptyFri Aug 31, 2012 11:56 pm

It was quickly evident to Alex that his rather blunt question had caught Kaylyn off guard, but he didn't attempt to right the situation. His eyes stayed settled on her, watching her every move, judging how she reacted. It was what he did best, gathering who he was dealing with by their body language. He finally allowed his gaze to wander off in another direction for a brief moment, just so she wouldn't feel too intimidated by his rather unnerving stare. Sometimes, he had to remind himself that not everyone would be comfortable with it, not that he really cared. As she began, his attention bounced back to her, a single eyebrow arched. "Yes?" He prodded, knowing he was being a degree nosy but figuring she'd let it slide. Even if she didn't, he'd find out what he wanted to know one way or another.

Dissociative Personality Disorder. It echoed around in his mind, but didn't ring any bells. He figured he'd be pushing his luck by asking what exactly it was, but he figured it might have been some vital information if he intended on being around her for much longer. Or maybe the possible danger of the situation just made it all the more appealing. He wasn't scared of what she could do to him; he was capable of anything. As she explained her crime though, he felt he had a slightly better understanding. Her alts, she'd called it. "Sounds rough." He commented, reaching up to rub his chin. And just as he'd known she would, the question was being reversed a moment later. Typical. "Murdered two people. Burned one of the bodies as well as the house." He left out the details, his voice dismissive as he moved past the subject of conversation like it was normal to him. She didn't need to know about him.

He smirked within moments at the obvious blush that adorned her cheeks. That had been too easy. His amusement only grew when the audible gasp reached his ears. "Is everything alright?" He taunted, his eyes flickering dangerously. He knew why she was reacting in the way she was; for one, she probably wasn't used to such behavior. And for two, being in a mental hospital surely didn't help with the entire physical contact situation. He didn't care, that was who he was. He pushed and prodded against boundaries until they broke, and even then he kept pushing. Drifting just the slightest bit closer to her again as she spoke, he shrugged, eyes back to staring closely into hers. "The decision is all yours, novio."

*Novio = Sweetheart

PostSubject: Re: A Playful Swim (M?)   A Playful Swim (M?) EmptySat Sep 01, 2012 7:04 am

Kaylyn nodded when Alejandro commented on her explanation of her being here. She hadn’t expected a whole lot, it was a mental hospital after all, and everyone here had done something. He admitted to his own crime and it in itself didn’t necessarily surprise her but the way he’d said it as though he had no remorse, she couldn’t deny that it bothered her. She’d known for a long time that there are plenty of people who can do horrible things without regret, but had had little interaction with them outside of the hospital so she was unsure how to handle them. She tried to not allow herself to show her unnerve, but she was sure that he would notice anyway.

Her unnerve quickly turned into embarrassment as he teased her about her reaction to his chivalry. She laughed a bit when he asked her if she was alright, “I… Yes, everything’s fine. I’m just not used to.. to… this.” She motioned with her hand to indicate the kiss. She watched his motions like a trapped animal watches their pursuer, but with perhaps a bit of subtly. She didn’t feel trapped per say but he was a tall, muscular man, that very obviously didn’t have an issue hurting people, most anyone would feel the same. “Alejandro it is then,” she said to his indifference. “I’ve noticed the Spanish. Hispanic decent?” It was really none of her business, and he defiantly looked it, but it was even less of her business to ask further about anything else they’ve talked about, so small talk it was.

PostSubject: Re: A Playful Swim (M?)   A Playful Swim (M?) EmptySat Sep 01, 2012 10:07 pm

Alex knew that his nonchalant confession of his crime might have put her slightly on edge. It was understandable, he supposed, to be in the presence of a killer who showed no remorse. Why would he feel anything when it had been exactly what they deserved? That bastard for ever touching what had belonged to him, and her for ever thinking she could find anyone better. He'd been protecting her. She was better off now. No one could hurt her ever again, and he could rest knowing that she was safe. No one needed to know the background behind what he did, no one even really needed to know why he was in the hospital. If asked, he'd elaborate, he wasn't ashamed. But otherwise, he was content to keep most information about himself to just his knowledge.

Even the damn nurses pried, and he'd had about enough of them. Exhaling to control the sudden urge of anger that washed over him, he re-focused on his company. It wouldn't do, for him to ruin a perfectly good time over memories. Besides, she now looked more embarrassed than anything else and this brought him great pleasure. She was so open with her emotions, and it was wonderful. Upon hearing her words, he only nodded, for he'd already come to that conclusion himself. He didn't need her to confirm it. "I figured, though with someone as beautiful as yourself I don't see why you wouldn't be." He coaxed, his voice rich and soothing. He knew the game well.

She was watching him closely, but he made sure he was always at least a step ahead of her. Allowing his body to lower further into the water for a moment, he was soon standing up to his full height again, water trickling over his toned flesh in the process. "Works for me." He replied with a shrug. He wasn't really bothered with what she called him. Upon her question though, his eyes flickered back to hers with vague interest. "Sí," He paused, his tongue rolling along his bottom lip absently. "Do you speak any of the language?"

PostSubject: Re: A Playful Swim (M?)   A Playful Swim (M?) EmptySat Sep 01, 2012 11:18 pm

Kaylyn damned herself for only getting more embarrassed when Alejandro continued his forward advances. She was aware that she looked good, but the last three years in this place had kinda caused her to forget, she wasn’t used to getting compliments so much anymore. “Not many people are so chivalrous anymore,” she replied with a hopefully teasing tone, “especially not here.” She couldn’t stop herself from staring when he made a point to show off his body. She figured he was well aware of his affect on people and was using it to his advantage, but you wouldn’t hear her complain.

Kaylyn wasn’t really sure at first how to answer his question, she had taken a few classes in High School but it didn’t really stick. “A bit,” she explained, “I wouldn’t be the best to have a conversation with, but I understand enough to get by. Although I’m always willing to learn more,” she offered, especially if he was the teacher. She was catching a bit of a chill standing, noticing the stairs into the pool she decided she’d take a seat. She started walking in that direction and after a few steps she looked over her shoulder with a smile, “Care to take a seat?” She waited for her companions answer before continuing, not wanting to be rude.

PostSubject: Re: A Playful Swim (M?)   A Playful Swim (M?) EmptySun Sep 02, 2012 12:20 am

Alex considered letting up with his somewhat aggressive advances for the time being, perhaps to allow her to get a bit more comfortable with him, but he couldn't seem to bring himself to do it. He was having too much fun already, for she set up such an easy game for him to conquer. Of course, a challenge was always fun every once and a while, yet right at that moment, he was enjoying constantly having the upper hand and not having to fight for it. "Not in this place, no." He agreed after a beat, shrugging. "Or in general." He decided to add for the hell of it. He was greatly amused that she kept referring to his actions as chivalrous, when to him they were anything but. He thought she might have been intelligent enough to figure that out for herself, but maybe he shouldn't have been so quick to give her the benefit of the doubt. Or maybe she just needed more time than others might have.

He let her stare, knowing full well she was, though he acted like he had not a clue. That was what his body was there for of course. To be admired. When she mentioned having only taken a couple of classes in high school, he exhaled heavily. "Ah." He replied, eyes skittering away from her once more. It was sad, the amount of people that didn't know his native tongue, but he supposed he couldn't really complain. It was a class that many were forced to take in high school, when they had no desire to learn. He had been the same with English. He wasn't really disappointed, though when she said she'd be interested in learning more, he smirked. He didn't look back at her just yet though. "Isn't that what high school was for? If you were really interested, it wouldn't have been something so easily forgotten." His voice wasn't exactly accusing, but the tone of it was menacing, and he knew it. He didn't waste his time.

Sensing her movement his eyes darted back to her, though he noticed she seemed to be moving toward the stairs. At first, he thought that meant she was leaving, and he was about to inform her that it probably wasn't the best decision on her part. Yet when he heard her offer, he paused. He glanced between her and the stairs again, the gears in his brain churning. Finally, he relented, pausing to give a slight nod. "If you so wish to." And with that, he began to follow her toward their new location.
